Swap Meet & Car Show is Coming Back in November!!
Welcome to SF Valley Model A Chapter
The San Fernando Valley Model A Club (SFVMAFCA) was established in 1960 as a chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA). We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the 1928-1931 Model A Ford Automobile. We invite all interested parties, even if you do not own a Model A Ford, to come and join our club! We meet the 3rd Thursday of the month (no meeting in December) at 7:30PM in the Galpin Ford Community Room (above the Mustang showroom) located at 15505 Roscoe Blvd (at Orion), North Hills, CA 91343.
The club was created to help the Ford Model A car enthusiast of the San Fernando Valley (and surrounding areas) to have a place to go, get together and share their stories. We have a diverse group of members who just love the Ford Model A. We arrange many tours and events that allow us to enjoy our hobby. Please join us and enjoy the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America..
A New Year, a New Board!
Our club has ushered in a new board earlier this year. We welcome some new members this year with some former members staying onboard. Ron Mosher(pictured with Jim Lank) has taken the position of President with Mike Petrella continuing as Vice President. Joining our board this year is Arthur Bender and Larry Margules, who will make a great addition.
Recently, we had our Annual Memorial Tour in January where we all met in Newhall, CA and made our way over to The Rock Inn, located in Lake Hughes for Brunch. Despite the cold weather, we all made it there without freezing our baguettes off. 11 Model A’s made it there, with 1 staying behind due to a dead battery. Come February, we had our 2nd meeting of the year, where we had our guest of honor, Brandon Boeckmann(Galpin Ford) join us. We presented him with a donation for their Charity which serves many other Charities in the San Fernando Valley. Later that month, we had a spectacular Valentine’s Day tour with a route that took us by Malibu Lake, through Hidden Valley and back down the coast towards Malibu. We are looking forward to some great tours to start the Spring season in the coming weeks with a possible tour to Reagan Library as well as the Annual CCRG event in Santa Maria in April.
